So, its been awhile since I have used film medium to work on my art. Over the weekend I took out my dusty relic of a camera. Not looking to bad. Surprisingly, the battery still worked. Instantly, I want to load in some film and go. Too bad so sad no film on hand and its been a few years since I last used it. I did find some film still loaded in the camera, It was color film though so no luck in developing it my self.
I did find that the one hour photo machines have moved into a lab and thus no longer can you easily find the one hour places. Oh how easy to switch over to the digital. Guess you have to find what makes you the most money and run with it. Its not at all about the art and the joy of seeing an image appear for that white glossy paper. Nope it about the money. I had to send this lonely roll of film of in anticipation of know what is on it. Now I have to wait 5 days to get it back.
This has got me looking into going back to the black and white films and doing my own developing. But for cost sake I might just get a film scanner to print the images off my computer. An enlarger is just so expensive these days and needs to much room.
Today's image is a little bit older and is taken with a digital point and shoot, but just love the feel of it. This is raw and unchanged. I have thought about bringing the color out and correcting the wash out in the center, but decided not to.
Enjoy and be inspired.
