From the Deap

Love is grey, not black, not white, but all that could be in between. What shade could it be, that depends on the mood. To many variation that no one can define. Scholars and doctors try to help bring light to it and make it seem simple. It just doesn't work the same all the time. What is it today? That would be a different answer for me than for you my friend. Is it my heart that is broken? I think not. My soul is yearning for something that I can not live without. I crave and desire the soft caress of a woman. I feel empty without the touch of another. Love can be shallow sometimes. I have a deeper thirst that can not be quenched by just the touch or closeness of a woman. My hunger is from deep in my soul and wants something that I have yet to find in this world. I need a person that can be my muse, my devil, my saint, my masterpiece, my disaster, my friend, my enemy, my lover, my hater, my leash, my freedom, my hero, my antagonist, my supporter, my supported, and my something that I can not say as it is so cliche. Why do these thoughts bring up questions that not a soul can answer? Leave it be or work on it to feel the happiness again. Not sure that life is meant to handle the fear, heartache, and lost feelings that I have. Move on.

Wine Making

The art of wine making is really similar to that of beer making, only you don't have to heat up the grapes to extract the sugar.  This photo was taken in Arizona's wine country, on Oak Creek. Just taken by a point and shoot type camera, but without a flash.

Film Photos

So, its been awhile since I have used film medium to work on my art. Over the weekend I took out my dusty relic of a camera. Not looking to bad. Surprisingly, the battery still worked. Instantly, I want to load in some film and go. Too bad so sad no film on hand and its been a few years since I last used it. I did find some film still loaded in the camera, It was color film though so no luck in developing it my self.

I did find that the one hour photo machines have moved into a lab and thus no longer can you easily find the one hour places. Oh how easy to switch over to the digital. Guess you have to find what makes you the most money and run with it. Its not at all about the art and the joy of seeing an image appear for that white glossy paper. Nope it about the money. I had to send this lonely roll of film of in anticipation of know what is on it. Now I have to wait 5 days to get it back.

This has got me looking into going back to the black and white films and doing my own developing. But for cost sake I might just get a film scanner to print the images off my computer. An enlarger is just so expensive these days and needs to much room.

Today's image is a little bit older and is taken with a digital point and shoot, but just love the feel of it. This is raw and unchanged. I have thought about bringing the color out and correcting the wash out in the center, but decided not to.

Enjoy and be inspired.

First Entry

Welcome to the start of something "Fantastic." I will be posting photographs here that I have taken. These are not going to be simple pieces of art but rather awe-inspiring works of wonder. I will also be publishing words of thought and inspiration. This will always be a learning experience for me, but I am willing to teach, tell and show what I do. I will try to list the equipment used to produce the art. If you comment with questions I will try to return an answer to those truly interested. So, sit back and enjoy.
